Medical Departments Symposium

All medical students (Diagnostic Medical Sonography, Medical Assistant, Practical Nursing, and Medical Office Administration) from both campuses meet this morning at the Van Nostrand Theatre at Suffolk County Community College in Brentwood for our annual symposium.
The theme this year is emergency medicine.
Dr. Mark Henry, professor and chairman of Stony Brook Medicine, Stony Brook University Hospital, will be the keynote speaker. Dr. Michael Caplan, Suffolk County Medical Examiner, will also present.
Additional speakers include representatives from the emergency medical services and urgent care communities.
Students who regularly take public transportation to school may want to make arrangements with their peers so they can get to the college on that day. If you are using GPS, it should be set to 502 Wicks Road, Brentwood, NY 11717.
