Hunter Business School is a well known school throughout Long Island. Knowing previous graduates and seeing their success brought me to check out the medical assistant program they offered. Career Development is the dose of MEDICINE part of the entire course outlines at Hunter Business School. It’s a tough pill to swallow, but a necessary part of the program that will demonstrate your ability to organize your thoughts and presentation for the ultimate – the JOB INTERVIEW. This course is for the “tough” – who are ready, willing and able to take ‘constructive criticism’. My suggestion is to swallow the pill to begin a ‘corrective’ process that can only bring you to a better place!

I found that it was a very good idea to have the Career Fair at the school. It gave me the opportunity to meet employers from different companies and to get an idea on the different types of jobs that are out there. It also gave me the opportunity to use some of the skills that I learned at Hunter Business School. Several of my fellow students have been called for interviews and that is a very good sign.
The fair was very well organized and the ushers did a terrific job keeping the traffic flowing, assisting the employers, etc. The Career Fair was a success. Kudos to Hunter Business School for coordinating such helpful events. - Iris Alonso
My experience at Hunter Business school is something I will never forget. The staff and the instructors here want to see you succeed, they go the extra mile in making sure you reach your goal. From my experience in Career Development I got the chance to learn how to conduct myself properly on an interview. I also learned how to make a portfoloio I was able to show on my interviews. I was taught how to write a resume, cover letters and thank you letters that would help me get a great job. My teacher and placement department were very helpful and wonderful to work with. I was able to find a job that I will enjoy and did well on the interview with the help of Adela Frenk and the skills I learned from my Career Development class. Thank you.

The instructors at Hunter are absolutely amazing. They completely bond with the students and go out of their way to help each student in any way possible.
The same goes for the Adminstrative Staff. Their positive outlook and reinforcement each day made my days at HBS so positive.
Last week I went for a job interview for a Medical Office Management position and I was offered the position. I gladly accepted. I start one week after my graduation from Hunter. I can’t thank Lisa B & the entire Hunter Staff for the entire positive experience.

During my last cycle at Hunter Business School, although it was a hard one; I learned a lot from Career Develoment. Before this class I had no idea how to behave during an interview. It had been a long time since I went on an interview.
I was able to make corrections to my resume, with the help of my Instructor. I also learned how to create cover letters, fax cover sheets, and thank you letters. In my personal opinion the most important aspect of this class was the preparation for the Mock Interivew. I was very nervous, but at the end I learned the proper behavior during an interview. I had such a good experience at Hunter Business School. The instructors are amazing and very helpful. They are also very caring and full of knowledge. I also feel that the placement staff are very successful in helping not just myself but all of the students with jobs, resumes and interviews. The staff at Hunter Business school are very professional and I appreciate them teaching me how to be professional. The financial aid staff were also very helpful with getting my career started.
When i first started the dress code got to me but now i realize that it made me more ready for the professionalism. It also helped me get the right attire for a job settings. Hunter Business school has a good way of getting students ready for the real world in profession.
If anyone asked me information about Hunter Business School I would tell them that it’s a very good business school that they teach you everything you need to know and prepares you for your future. I would also tell them that it’s not just them themselves who cares about what they do but the staff at Hunter Business School cares too. The staff works as a team!

What I have gained from the Career Development course at Hunter Business School? The answer can be summed up in one word: confidence. Before entering Hunter my office skills were somewhat lacking. Through my time at Hunter I was constantly building on what I was learning, step-by-step. Though I was familiar with the Microsoft Office Suite, I did not know how to manipulate the programs to get what I wanted. During my courses, I was able to add to my knowledge as I progressed through the program. My biggest achievement though was learning basic accounting principals and applying this new knowledge to computerized use, the QuickBooks Pro software system. Hence, my diploma from Hunter in Computerized Accounting.
In short, again it comes down to one thing. Confidence. Confidence in my education at Hunter, confidence in my instructors at Hunter, and confidence in my abilities, my new knowledge and most of all, confidence in myself.

Attending classes at Hunter Business School has been a wonderful and somewhat life changing experience for me. I am a newly single mom and didn’t know if I could handle the full-time schedule. I wasn’t sure if the teachers would be flexible or if I was smart enough. Much to my surprise, all of the teachers and staff have been very helpful, knowledgeable and kind. Coming here and receiving immense positive reassurance and feedback has restored my faith in my ability to learn and achieve. I now plan to continue my education on a college level and won’t stop until I receive a Bachelor’s Degree. I encourage all to attend Hunter Business School.
